I’m a 4-year-old Terrier mix boy, about 8kg, with short little legs and a quiet heart.
I was rescued from a dog meat farm. From the very beginning of my life, I learned how to endure before I ever learned how to love. The world taught me to stay small, to stay quiet, to not draw attention to myself. So I did. Even now, when you first meet me, I won’t run up to you or try to be the center of the room. I’ll simply stand a little behind, watching, waiting for your reaction. If you come closer, I won’t run away — but I won’t immediately give you my whole heart either. Inside, I’m gently asking, “Is it really safe this time?”
---
I have a shy and very gentle nature. I’ve spent my life being careful, and the way I move slowly on my short legs carries the story of how long I had to hide myself just to get through each day. But if you give me time… I change. When I grow familiar with your voice, when I learn that your hands don’t hurt, when I realize I don’t have to be afraid — I begin to lean in. Carefully. Slowly. I’ll offer you a small piece of affection, a quiet nuzzle, a soft closeness. And that little bit of love means everything — because it comes from a place of courage.
---
Home life will most likely be new to me — a house, daily routines, being alone sometimes, understanding the rules of living with people. I might make mistakes. I might need time to adjust. Please don’t see those moments as flaws; they are simply traces of the life I had before. I don’t need a family who expects me to be perfect right away. I need a family who knows how to wait — someone who won’t rush me, someone who won’t scold me for being slow, someone who will walk beside me step by small step.
With my short legs, I may not walk fast — but if you show me that the world can be kind, I will walk toward you with trust. I survived the farm. Now I am just beginning my life. Please be the family that teaches me I don’t have to live quietly and alone anymore. Be my safe place. And I promise, in my own gentle way, I will be yours. 🐾🤍
