My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi… my name is Sungsim 🧡

I once had a family. But when my guardian became very ill and had to be hospitalized, I suddenly lost my home. It was a confusing and heartbreaking goodbye. Still… I didn’t lose my trust in people. I still believe in love. My name “Sungsim” means “a dog with a gentle heart.” And that’s truly who I am. I’m soft, calm, and deeply considerate. I get along beautifully with small dogs and big dogs alike. I don’t try to compete, and I don’t cause trouble. I simply know how to exist peacefully. Making friends comes naturally to me.

When we go on walks, you’ll see something special about me. If you look into my eyes and say “stop,” I stop right away. When you start walking again, I match your rhythm like we’ve practiced together for years. Walking side by side, breathing in sync — it feels almost like a quiet dance. I only potty outside — 100% outdoor potty trained. Walk time is my favorite time of day.

At home, I’m very calm. My energy level is low indoors, so I usually lie down quietly and rest. I don’t demand constant attention. I just like being nearby, sharing the same space. I do need a little time to fully open my heart. Not because I’m afraid — I’ll still wag my tail and come close to you. But to show you my deepest feelings, I need a bit of patience. If you give me that time, I promise my love will be steady and true.

When it’s time to put on my leash, I stay still and wait politely. When you touch me, I trust you. In the elevator, I move to the corner and sit quietly like a well-mannered lady. Sometimes loud noises outside make me pause for a moment. In those moments, I just need you to be my calm reassurance. Because deep down, my nature is stable and gentle — I recover quickly when I know I’m safe.

I’m really cute. Really kind. Really beautiful inside and out. If I had to describe myself in one sentence? I’m a 100-point dog, just waiting for one person to call my own.

That’s why I’m looking for a family who will give me time to fully open my heart, who will enjoy peaceful walks and quiet companionship, and who will promise that this next home will be forever. Will you be the one who gives me my second forever home? 🧡🐾
