Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I’m Burt. 🐾
I’m a brown and white tabby with a curious heart and a big love for adventure. If there’s a corner to peek behind, a shelf to inspect, or a mysterious crinkly sound somewhere in the house… you can bet I’m already on the case. Exploring is kind of my thing.
I’m a friendly guy who likes being around people, and I’m not shy about chatting a little either. Sometimes I talk because I’m excited, sometimes because I’m curious, and sometimes… well, maybe I’m just wondering what’s going on in this big world of mine.
In my last home, things didn’t quite work out. I had lots of energy and curiosity, but not enough ways to keep my busy brain entertained. When I get bored or overstimulated, I can get a little carried away with my enthusiasm. I just needed more playtime, enrichment, and someone who understands an active cat like me.
Give me toys, things to climb, puzzles to figure out, and some space to explore, and I’ll be a very happy boy. I’m playful, inquisitive, and full of personality. I just need the right home where my adventurous spirit can shine.
If you’re looking for a clever, engaging companion who will keep life interesting (and maybe chat with you about it), I might be your guy.

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
