Hi, I’m Garfield — the sweetest orange tabby boy you’ll ever meet. 🧡

I’m a true rescue story. Not long ago, I was hit by a car… but somehow I walked away with only a few little abrasions. I guess that means I still have a lot of life — and love — left to give.

That experience taught me something important: life is precious. Every sunny window, every gentle pet, every quiet moment with someone who cares means the world to me.

Now all I want is a forever person to share it with. Someone who will let me curl up beside them, keep them company, and remind them every day how special life together can be.

Submit Application

Whether you're interested in a specific pet or not, fill out our application online at houstonpetsalive.org.

2.
Meet the Pet

Once your application is approved, a meet and greet will be set up between you and your pet of interest.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If the meet and greet goes well and your adoption application is approved, you will sign the adoption contract.

4.
Pay Fee

Once the adoption contract is signed, you will pay the adoption fee.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Bring your new best friend home! Remember that it will take some time for him/her to adjust to their new environment.
