Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Once upon a time, this handsome guy was a stray tomcat, roaming the streets like a tough little outlaw. But don’t let his rugged past fool you — beneath that former street-cat swagger is an absolute snuggle champion.
He has a mild condition called Plasma Cell Pododermatitis (aka “pillow foot”), which just means his paw pads are a little extra puffy and soft. And yes — it affects all four paws. Basically, he comes with built-in marshmallows. ☁️
The good news?
• It’s mild
• It doesn’t slow him down
• It’s not contagious
• He’s comfortable and thriving
Now that he’s retired from street life, his favorite hobby is soaking up affection like he’s making up for lost time. He leans into pets. He melts into snuggles. He will absolutely choose a cozy lap over alley adventures any day.
He may have once been a wandering tom, but these days? He just wants a soft place to land and a human to adore.
If you’re looking for a loving boy with a little extra squish in his step and a whole lot of heart, this former street tough is ready to clock in full-time as your cuddle supervisor

TAPS-Tazewell Animal Protective Society was founded in 1958 in Pekin Illinois in a building donated by the City of Pekin on River Road. In 1979, rapidly rising river water forced the evacuation of the animals. Once again, the City of Pekin stepped in and donated a building for the animals. Several moves later, and with the help and generosity of many volunteers and community members, TAPS now has a new home at 100 TAPS Lane. Last year we celebrated 50 year of caring for the homeless animals of Central Illinois.
