This helps HOPE (Homeless & Orphaned Pets Endeavor) with pet care costs.
DOB 6/1/25
Hey there, everyone! I’m Franklin, a sweet, gentle, and easygoing mitted black Maine Coon/ domestic medium hair mix fella with a big fluffy tail and a wide white bib. I possess all the wonderful attributes of a Maine Coon -- a loving nature, a calm disposition, and intelligence – all while I make soft little chirps as I go about my day. In my unassuming way, I like to station myself near my beloved hoomans, either cuddled in their laps or hanging out close by when they’re busy working. When I’m not napping in their laps, I like to relax on the cat tree or bask in a patch of sunshine on the windowsill because both spots provide ideal views of the fascinating wildlife outside.
A 17-year-old boy found my twin sister Eleanor (Roosevelt) and me perched on a neighborhood curb with no momma in sight. We were tiny and unable to fend for ourselves, so this young Good Samaritan first went door to door to find where we belonged and then brought us home when his efforts proved fruitless. It broke his heart that his younger brother proved allergic to cats, so he cared for us upstairs until his dad contacted our future foster meowmy to take us in. We are grateful that Foster Meowmy, an experienced cat rescuer, agreed to transport us to the safe haven of her home, where we have flourished along with another litter of rescued kittens who were born a month apart from us.
Now I’m ready to bring my relaxed demeanor and delightful companionship to my forever family. Although I haven’t been around kids, Main Coons are usually very patient with small children. If you’re looking for a laid-back, lovable fluff ball, I’m your man! Don’t be surprised if I pick up wet food with my front paws because this is another endearing Maine Coon quirk.
