My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hera, aka Princess! Hera is a sweet, playful girl who loves chasing toys, exploring her surroundings, and curling up for cozy naps after a fun play session. At about 12 weeks old, she has the perfect mix of kitten energy and cuddly charm, and she’ll make a wonderful companion.

She may seem shy at first, but after some playtime (and a few treats), she’s a happy, purring kitten. Hera hasn’t been around dogs or kids yet but as a friendly adaptable kitten we think she could adjust well to a nice dog and gentle older kids. Hera has grown up so far with her four siblings and two older foster brother cats and gets along with everyone!

She must be adopted with one of her siblings (see Nyx’s profile), or go to a home with a friendly cat companion to help her continue to learn and grow. She must also have a safe yard to enjoy outside time with her family during the summer.

If you’re looking for a loving, playful addition to your family, Hera can’t wait to meet you! She is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, so she’s all ready for her forever home. Hera is in Wasilla. Please call 907-350-8089. Thank you!

Additional adoption info

We require that adopters sign our adoption contract and a legally binding no-declawing agreement. There is an adoption fee. Most adult cats are $80 except for those who are sponsored or part of a special. Kittens under 8 months are $135. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are adopted at 12 weeks of age or older and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Due to the pandemic, most of our adoptions are done virtually. Some of our cats are also available for adoption from their foster homes.

More about this rescue

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help. And through this dedicated group of people, more than a thousand cats have been saved and found loving homes.
In 2017, we rescued and rehomed approximately 500 cats.
