My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My daughter found Rocket at the Hobbs animal shelter when he was approximately 6 months old in July of 2025 and immediately fell in love. He was high energy and sweet from the get-go but she lives in a college apartment and was not able to accommodate Rocket and his needs so my husband and I assumed responsibility for him short term until we could find him a good home. My husband and I both travel extensively for work and also work long hours so we are unable to care for him permanently. Rocket loves to be outdoors and ideally needs a large space with other animals, though he would be quite happy as a single pet. He is a true pointer with endless energy and the ability to get along with all animals. He does actually point! He would be a tremendous hunting companion and/or would be an asset on a farm or ranch.

Rocket is kind and full of personality. We believe he is just over a year old. He is completely potty trained with no accidents. He is a working dog!
