Personality: Honestly? Eggo is just the sweetest thing. She loves being pet, she loves attention, and she really just wants to be wherever you are. Working from home? She'll be right next to your laptop. Sitting by the window? She's already claimed the best spot to watch the birds. She's also super curious... anything new in the house and she's the first one to go investigate it. New box, new bag, new smell, she's on it. At night, expect a cuddle buddy... she loves sleeping on top of you or curled up right by your legs, so if you're a light sleeper, just know she will absolutely be there. She warms up to new people pretty quickly too, though she might be a little shy at first with strangers or visitors. Give her a few minutes and some gentle pets and she'll be your best friend. Dogs barking do make her a little anxious, so a calmer environment would definitely help her feel safe and settled.
Funny quirks: Apart from stealing hearts, she also steals food. We call her the bottomless pit for a reason. This girl thinks about food constantly. She'll stare you down while you eat, try to sneak bites from her foster sister's bowl when she thinks no one is looking, and has absolutely attempted to help herself to human food left unattended. We've been working with her on it though, and she actually does understand what "no" means now... she'll stop, look at you, and then look back at the food like she's really weighing her options. It's hard not to laugh. Also, fair warning: she has an internal alarm clock set to 6AM sharp, every single day. She will meow, she will demand breakfast, and if you try to ignore her, she won't throw a fit but she'll just switch to plan B, which is unleashing the full force of her cuteness on you until you physically cannot stay in bed anymore. And once you talk to her about it, she will talk back. She's incredibly vocal and responsive, and you will genuinely find yourself having a full conversation with her before you've even had your coffee. She also gets the zoomies out of nowhere and is obsessed with being at the very top of the cat tree.
Health notes: She had all her teeth removed because of stomatitis, but honestly you'd never know it because of her love for food. She's on a soft/wet food diet now and is doing really well with it. She'll just need a home that's happy to keep her on wet food going forward, which, trust us, she has absolutely no complaints about.
Special note from the foster family: I truly love this girl. She is so loving, so funny, and so full of personality and living with her has been such a joy. She'd do really well with another cat who's chill and doesn't mind a little (okay, a lot of) affection, since she loves having another buddy to snuggle up with... or doesn't mind a little rough play and being chased by her. If she's going to be the only pet, she'll need a home with lots of enrichment and someone who loves an interactive, velcro cat, because she will want to be involved in everything you do. She deserves someone who will love her just as loudly as she loves them and whoever that person is, they are going to be so lucky to have her!!

Additional adoption info
Adoption fee is $250 per adult cat, and $330 for kittens (under 8 months old).
This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $250.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $192.50 per cat vs. $385 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
