My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ursula – Your New Adventure Buddy

Ursula is an 8-month-old brown tabby with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This sweet girl is the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly affection.

She loves to play and will happily chase toys, explore her surroundings, and turn just about anything into a game. Once she’s gotten her zoomies out, Ursula is more than ready to curl up nearby for a cozy cuddle or a well-earned nap.

Ursula is curious, friendly, and eager to be part of the action. Whether she’s supervising your daily routine, helping you relax after a long day, or simply keeping you company, she’s happiest when she’s with her people.

If you’re looking for a fun, loving companion who will bring energy, sweetness, and plenty of purrs into your home, Ursula might just be the perfect match.

Come meet Ursula — she’s ready to visit her forever home!

I am available for adoption at PetSmart Wylie located at 3340 FM 544 #800, Wylie, TX 75098. For more information about me, please email cats@frastx.org.

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. FRAs was founded in 2004 by 4 volunteers who wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter. Our organization has grown to over 300 volunteers, and with this growth, we now support four municipal shelters and operate our own cat rescue program.

Our mission is to provide resources, programs and education to promote adoption and care of homeless pets in our community. FRAs’ vision is a world where every companion animal has a safe and loving forever home. We are a 100% all volunteer run organization, and our ability to help homeless animals depends on donations from the community and grant funding.

Our organizational programs include operating the volunteer program for both shelters, providing funding for heartworm treatments and emergency medical care, accepting cats from the shelter and citizens into our foster-based cat rescue, supporting TNR/SNR efforts for community cats and most recently funding dog transport initiatives. Our volunteers spend thousands of hours socializing and marketing the animals for adoption, which increases the number of animals with a positive outcome. FRAs has helped countless pets avoid euthanasia, find their forever homes and live longer, healthier lives.
