Colby’s story could have ended very differently, but thankfully this sweet boy was given a second chance. He was rescued from the I-10 freeway near 91st Avenue, where a brave volunteer crossed the freeway multiple times to reach him. We believe Colby had been abandoned, possibly even thrown from a car.
Despite everything he’s been through, Colby has the gentlest heart. Since coming into rescue, he’s been learning that he’s finally safe—and that people can be kind, loving, and trustworthy.
Colby absolutely adores people. He's what we lovingly call a shadow cat. Wherever you are that's exactly where he wants to be. Whether he’s curled up in your lap soaking up cuddles, sitting beside you while you work, or simply following you from room to room, Colby just wants to be close to the person he loves.
He is a sweet tender soul who only wants to feel safe, loved, and part of a family. After such a scary start in life, Colby is more than ready to find the forever home where he will be cherished the way he deserves.
