My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rayita (A141307) is a 2-year-old Ball Python available for adoption!

03/05/26 Rayita was surrendered to the shelter for adoption. On arrival at the shelter, she was very cold and spent a couple of days under observation at the shelter. She is feeling a lot better and is quite an active snake who has been accepting of handling by the care staff. If you are unfamiliar with care and tank requirements for a ball python, we encourage you to do the research before adopting. It is recommended that he have a tank that is (48” L x 24” W x 24” H). It is also important that he has appropriate heat/light sources – She should have UVB light as well as a 90w PAR38 halogen Flood Bulb. Monitoring the temperature/humidity of her enclosure is important! Providing a basking rock and appropriate décor is also much appreciated by your snake! Rayita should also have access to a large bowl of fresh, clean water daily. It should be large enough for her to curl up in if she feels like going for a soak. We often found Rayita taking an early morning soak when we arrive at the shelter in the morning. If you are interested in meeting Rayita, please let us know!March 6, 2026, 5:19 pm
