Hi… I’m Pearl. I’m a one-year-old girl with a soft heart and an even softer coat.
I came to the shelter because I was feeling overwhelmed in my previous home. Living with other cats just wasn’t my cup of tea. It made me stressed, and when I’m stressed, my litterbox habits suffer. Since arriving here and having my own space, I’ve been using my litterbox perfectly every day. Turns out, I just needed a calmer environment where I could breathe.
I’m a quiet, gentle soul who really appreciates cozy, enclosed spaces. Give me a comfy cubby, a covered bed, or a little nook to call my own, and I’ll be in heaven. I may not be the first to rush up for attention, but if you reach in to give me a soft pet, I’ll nudge your hand with my head to politely ask for more. I like affection on my terms.
I don’t usually sit in laps, but I do enjoy being near my people. I love being pet when I’m in the mood, and I’ll let you know when I’ve had enough by simply walking away. I can be picked up too as long as it’s my idea. If it’s not the right moment, I’ll gently hop out of your arms. I don’t have any particular “no-touch” spots; if I’m not feeling it, I’ll just remove myself from the situation. I’m a polite communicator like that.
What I’m really looking for is a peaceful home where I can be your one-and-only feline. A place where I won’t feel pressured by other cats and can relax into my sweet, calm self. With patience and understanding, I promise I’ll be a loving, loyal little companion, your very own Pearl.
