Hershey has been in our family since he was able to be away from his mother almost 5 years ago. His parents are my parents dogs and he has traveled with us from California. Much has changed since we left our California home, including a change of space for a large dog as himself. We thought we could keep him with us without a yard but we find it has taken a toll on him by not having the space a large dog needs. He's been with my husband and I throughout my first pregnancy and I loved his company, but I've since put full focus on my child and into a full time job, leaving little to no energy for Hershey. It pains me to do this but this is becoming too unfair for him. My daughter loves him but I know he deserves more than what we've been giving him.
He gets an itchy and flaky back if he eats any food containing chicken product but has no reaction to eggs, I've found. He's great around children and loves being hugged. He also loves chasing and being chased, almost like playing tag.
