**Crimson is currently in foster care, if you`re interested in meeting her, please fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet and we will be in touch to schedule an appointment.
Meet Crimson — the 53lb. Sweet, Silly, Sensitive GSP Pup! Crimson is a 9-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer with a heart as big as her long, gangly legs. She’s a goofy, bouncy girl who loves to run, chew on tennis balls, and curl up in your lap for cuddles. Her foster says she’s an absolute sweetheart with a gentle soul.
Crimson sleeps quietly through the night in her crate and is respectful with other dogs, backing off when asked. She adores playtime and has impressive athleticism—she can leap a baby gate in a single bound—but she’s not a counter surfer.
Like many young, sensitive GSPs, Crimson can be easily spooked by new noises or busy streets. She freezes when unsure and needs a patient adopter who can help her build confidence. She’s also working on separation comfort and learning that being alone is okay.
Crimson is wonderful with calm children and shows no aggression—just shyness at first. She’s responsive to correction, eager to please, and already crate trained, though she may whine when left.
If you’re looking for a loving, cuddly, slightly awkward, endlessly endearing adventure buddy who just needs reassurance and gentle guidance, Crimson might be your perfect match.

Adoptions by Appointment
We've got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt! The adoption process begins online, and all adoptions are done by appointment only. In most cases, animals are eligible to go home right away, so be prepared for your new animal to leave with you.
- Potential adopters complete an online adoption questionnaire at https://www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet .
- If approved, adopters can then interact with the animal they wish to adopt. It is best for all members of the household to meet the animal prior to going home. Note: Shelter staff reserve the right to deny any adoption if we feel it is not in the best interest of the animal.
- Renters bring rental pet policy at time of adoption. Not having the rental pet policy available may delay or nullify an adoption.
- Adopters must be 18 years or older, and have valid drivers license or photo identification.
- Pet licenses are required for dogs and cats in the City of Everett and unincorporated Snohomish County.
- The adoption fee must be paid at the time of adoption. We accept Visa, Mastercard or cash. We are unable to accept checks for payment of fees or services.
