If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Nova came into my life 4 years ago in September when I visited a local shelter, Friends of Strays, originally planning to adopt a dog. But then I met the sweetest little kitten who completely melted my heart — and that was Nova.
Since then, she has been such a special part of our home. Nova and Missa are best friends and spend a lot of their time together, which is why I would absolutely love for them to stay together if possible.
Nova is a bit more shy and reserved than Missa. She’s not the most outgoing at first and can be a little skittish in new environments, but she is very gentle and sweet. She never hurts anyone — she just likes her space and takes a little time to warm up and feel comfortable.
She isn’t the biggest fan of dogs or unfamiliar cats right away, but with patience and time she can adjust. Once she feels safe, she settles in and enjoys being part of a calm, loving home.
