This helps Cody's Friends Rescue with pet care costs.
Marley was dumped at Dowdy Ferry, where hundreds of dogs are dumped dead and alive. Thank goodness a good samaritan we know, took the time to get a trap and get this stunning dog. He was filthy, dirty, burrs in his fur, and bleeding from a deep wound. But those big blue eyes mesmorized us and we just had to help him. He came to our Founder broken, not only fearful but clamped to the floor, running from humans and shaking when one walked by. For months he lived this way locked in his own dread. Today, after quiee a few months, he is playing with other dogs, eating well and letting humans come close again. He is allowing us to rub his head, and chin and body and go on walks and he has come so far. We don't know what his past was but we know it was not good - it wasn't loving - it was far from that and then dumped to die in a horriffic area. We love Marely and you will too. He might be a bit of extra work - he might always jump a bit when he is unsure, He might take some patience to develop your trust, but he will give you so much in return. We stand behind Marley and will get him training if needed, when he finds an adopter. Want to be that person? Applications to adopt foster to adopt Marley or interested in adoption please fill out an application at codysfriendsrescue.org He would most likely need a home with older children if any. He loves other dogs - just not sure about very small dogs. We are not sure he has ever seen one before but loves to play with dogs that are medium to large. They make him happy and allow him to guide him through life. This poor baby is so deserving. - we do ask for an experienced dog owner who understands patience and understands that he is almost there...
