My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I’m Texas. I’m a 2½-year-old handsome white kitty looking for a forever home with my brother and best friend, Austin. We’re a bonded pair, which means we need to be adopted together-we’ve always stuck by each other’s side.

When you first meet us, we’ll probably seem very shy and a bit shut down. Big changes can be scary for sensitive cats like us. But with time, patience, and a calm home, we may start to relax and show you the sweet, gentle boys we really are.

I’m a gentle guy who enjoys being pet, but it’s important to go slow and let me come to you. When I’ve had enough attention, I’ll simply wander off to find a quiet spot for a nap. I’m not much of a lap cat and I’m not a big fan of being picked up, but I’ll just squirm away without using my claws.

I do like to play though, especially with little mouse toys—they’re my favourite to chase. I can do well with older, considerate children who understand that I’m a quieter cat. Dogs make me uncomfortable though, so a dog-free home would be best for Austin and me.

If you have a calm home and lots of patience, my brother and I would love the chance to grow more confident and finally find our forever family together
