Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾 Meet Rogelio- Former Whisker Model and Renowned Wet Food Taster 🐾
Rogelio is a dapper 2-year-old tabby who is always looking for cheek and head scratches! He is the perfect chore buddy who is never far from your side and will happily follow you around to make sure you stay on task. Don't let his RCF (resting cat face) fool you- he is just a big baby who wants love. And those whiskers? They go on for dayssss!
Rogelio will understandably be shy when first arriving, but once you gain his trust you've gained a best friend for life. Rogelio would thrive in a quieter/calmer home with window seating, cozy cat beds, laps to snuggle up next to, and unlimited cheek scratches. He is FIV+ and is happy, healthy, and ready to keep you company. He does fine with other kitties and while has not been tested with kids or dogs, with proper introductions we think he would do fine.
Rogelio can't wait for his next adventure in life, with you! He is now accepting adoption applications, available below.
Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a cat-specific virus that cannot be passed onto dogs or humans. FIV is spread through deep bite wounds, typically seen on outdoor male cats who have not been neutered. It's rarely spread through grooming, sharing bowls, or litter boxes. FIV affects a cat's immune system, but most cats live long lives when they live indoors, receive routine veterinary care, have a stress-free home, and a good diet. To learn more about FIV, please visit the link below.
Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here: https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/
Please Note:
If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed.
About Ten Lives:
Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat.
Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience!
All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
