Cindy Lou is a gentle cat who would love a calm, patient home and other cats to play with. She started out as a shy stray, but has flourished the past few months with patient socialization and having a friendly cat to warm her up to a new home.
Cindy Lou adores pets and has the loudest, rumbliest purr and she will greet you every morning when you wake up with cuddles. When she's especially happy with being pet, she'll even dramatically flop to her side. She is a polite lady who she never scratches, doesn't jump onto countertops, and when she gets treats she loves to thank you after by asking for pets. She is happy to sleep all day when you're at work, but in the evening she becomes very playful and loves to bat around long thin wand toys.
While Cindy Lou is still a bit shy and can find being picked up or loud toys overwhelming, what gives her the most confidence is having a friendly cat nearby. She absolutely adores other cats and all she wants to do is cuddle with them. Even after getting a not-so-friendly swipe, she'll try to cuddle with them again. She also loves to play by pouncing and chasing, so a similarly young, energetic cat friend would be perfect for helping her confidence grow.
Special note from Cindy Lou's foster family: Cindy Lou would be a perfect match for someone who loves helping a timid cat blossom. Having friendly resident cats would be a plus as she would join the family in no time. With time, kindness, and a calm environment, this sweet little cat will reward her family with trust and affection.

Additional adoption info
Adoption fee is $250 per adult cat, and $330 for kittens (under 8 months old).
This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $250.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $192.50 per cat vs. $385 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
