Zane and his siblings were rescued in December 2025, when they were 8-9 weeks old, during that bitter arctic blast! They had been confined to a wire crate in an unheated garage and were suffering from what initially appeared to be a typical upper respiratory infection. It was not typical. After weeks of careful treatment and dedication, they finally turned the corner. It was a challenging start for these little lives, but these resilient babies grew stronger every single day. After all that, this entire litter remained lovable and friendly, though they can be a bit hesitant and cautious at first. Once they understand they are safe and surrounded by love, their true playful, joyful, affectionate personalities shine brightly. Zane is one of “the lucky ones”, as we fosters call them.
