Franny arrived in rescue as a kitten from Dr. Jones after a fan belt accident nearly cost her a right rear leg. She recuperated in cage rest at Betti's sanctuary; always has had issues of temperament, possibly due to arthritis or discomfort arising from a very serious and painful injury. As a youngster, she was not a good prospect for PetSmart and a private adoption just never happened for her. As a young adult she nearly died from a blood clot; Dr. Becker stabilized her and prescribed 3x week 1/2 baby aspirin indefinitely and monitoring to ensure condition did not return. Adoption did not seem wise because of unpredictable health issues. Franny has lived in sanctuary, in 'the girls room" where she gets along adequately with her room mates, but "does not suffer fools gladly." Periodic steroid shots have helped her with inflammation and also her attitude.

We require a signed application that is reviewed by our volunteers.
Adopter must agree that the pet will be Inside Only and must have permission from their landlord if they are renting.
Before adoption all of our pets are thoroughly examined by one of our vets. They have received a rabies shot, series of vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FELV and are always spayed or neutered.

We are a small and devoted group of volunteers who started this organization in 2010. Our goal is to find homes for as many cats and kittens as we are physically and financially able to do. We have no facility and all of our pets are cared for in loving foster homes. We do as much as we can with the funds from adoption fees, donations and contributions from all of our volunteers.
