Freckle is a happy, smart, and eager-to-please girl. She loves trail runs, hikes, and outdoor adventures—her excitement is contagious as she dances and prances when she sees the hiking gear come out! At home, she’s a loving cuddle buddy, often leaning against your leg or snoozing on her bed nearby.
Like most cattle dogs, Freckle has a natural herding instinct and may give a gentle “nippy nip” or poke to let guests know they’re on her turf. She’s protective of her people and her “sister” dog (who is blind), but with planned introductions, she can learn to be comfortable with other dogs. She’s been great with her owner’s sister’s small dog during visits. Freckle also coexisted peacefully with a cat, though her playful herding might not be every feline’s favorite.

* Knows SIT and STAY with hand signals
* Enjoys car rides, camping, and beach walks
* Plays hard outdoors but settles nicely indoors
