My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Benedict.

Benedict is an adorable 1–2 year old Havanese who is about as sweet as they come. He has a playful little energy and is still figuring out this new thing called freedom. Everything is exciting right now. The yard, the smells, the toys, the whole world really.

Benedict came from a puppy mill, so he’s learning that life can actually be pretty great. Because of that, he will need a family who understands that he’s still learning to trust people and the world around him. Patience and kindness will go a long way with this little guy, and watching his confidence grow is really special.

He sleeps through the night in his crate and is quickly catching on that all potty business happens outside. He’s also starting to get the hang of walking on a leash and is very enthusiastic about exploring everything around him.

He loves other dogs and would enjoy a dog friend, but he’d also be perfectly happy as an only dog as long as he has people to love. He’s affectionate, gives the sweetest kisses, and is slowly learning how to relax, take naps, and just be a dog.

If you’re looking for a gentle, loving little guy and are willing to give him the time and patience he deserves, Benedict might be your perfect match.

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
