My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Code Red and Voltage — two sweet kitties ready for a fresh start.

These gentle-hearted friends have been through a lot, but they’ve kept their affectionate spirits and are eager to find a home where they can finally relax and be loved.

Code Red is a soft-natured sweetheart who warms up with gentle attention and loves having a cozy spot to curl up near you.
Voltage, true to his name, brings a spark of playful energy and curiosity wherever he goes, but he’s just as happy to settle down for cuddles once he’s gotten the wiggles out.
They get along beautifully and would love to go home together, but they can also be adopted separately if that’s the right match. Either way, each one has so much love to give and will make a wonderful companion for anyone lucky enough to welcome them home.

If you`re ready to give one — or both — of these amazing kitties the fresh start they deserve, come meet them today.

Additional adoption info

We've got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt! The adoption process begins online, and all adoptions are done by appointment only. To reduce the animals' overall stress levels, we have decided to limit animal viewing to those people with appointments for specific animals.

How it works:

1. Check out our available animals online. If you see an animal you’re interested in, fill out that species adoption questionnaire at https://www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet to start the adoption process. Please be sure to include the name of the animal that you are interested in adopting. Questionnaires will only be reviewed if a specific animal is identified. You aren't obligated to adopt that pet, but it's a place to start.

2. Our staff will review your questionnaire and contact you to discuss the adoption. Please note that it often takes several days before you are contacted. We appreciate your patience! (If it has been longer than one week and you haven’t heard from us, please email us.)

3. Most animals will be available to go home the same day as the adoption meeting.

Adoptions by Appointment
Our shelter is currently closed for general animal viewing, but we’ve still got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt them. To help keep our staff, volunteers and community healthy, we are now providing adoptions by appointment. This enables us to comply with social distancing guidelines while still finding loving homes for the pets in our care.
