My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rogue !

Rogue is a beautiful kitten with a gentle soul who just takes a little time to feel safe. She’s a bit more reserved than her partner in crime, Gambit, and might greet new situations with a small hiss while she figures things out. Don’t worry — it’s just her way of saying she needs a moment!

Once Rogue feels comfortable and learns that you’re a friend, her sweet side truly shines. She loves getting attention and will reward you with the softest, quiet little purrs. It’s her special way of letting you know she trusts you.

Rogue is also a big fan of wet food, and if you really want to win her over, a Churu treat is the way to her heart. A Churu stick is practically her secret weakness and the fastest way to help her warm up to you.

When she’s not enjoying snacks or gentle pets, Rogue loves curling up and cuddling with Gambit. She finds comfort in feline companionship and would do best in a home with another friendly cat — either being adopted with a buddy or joining a household where she’ll always have a feline friend around.

Just like her X-Men namesake, Rogue might seem a little guarded at first — but once she chooses you as her person, you’ll have a loyal companion whose love is truly special.

FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
