If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Spoon was rescued by my husband almost two years ago. Shortly after bringing her home, we discovered she was pregnant and she gave birth to her baby, Spork. They have been together ever since and are very bonded, so we are looking to rehome them together.
Spoon is about 2 years old, and Spork is just over 1 year old. Spoon is a very loving and attentive mama, and Spork is sweet, curious, and playful. They are both affectionate, gentle, and enjoy being around people once they feel comfortable.
Since rescuing Spoon, we learned that she doesn get along well with other cats (we already had two before bringing her home). Because of this, we believe they would do best in a calm home where they are the only pets, where they can feel safe and settled.
We did try to rehome them once before, but they ended up making their way back to us. Because of that experience, it very important to us that their next home is a stable, and loving environment where they can stay together long term!
