My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Snoopy is the kind of puppy who will happily follow you from room to room and curl up right beside you whenever he gets the chance. He loves affection and feels happiest when he’s being held or when someone is nearby. If you’re looking for a puppy who enjoys snuggles and will fall asleep in your arms after a good cuddle, Snoopy might be your perfect match.
This gentle boy has a calm, loving personality and especially enjoys spending time with kids. He’s also quite the nap enthusiast and is always ready to settle in for a cozy snooze. Snoopy is still learning the ropes of puppy life and is doing a great job working on his potty training — he goes potty outside every time he’s let out. He’s also getting comfortable with his crate and will even go in on his own when he’s ready to rest.

Snoopy would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of love, attention, and reassurance as he continues building his confidence. He’s a very affectionate pup who bonds closely with his people and feels safest when someone is by his side.

This sweet little shadow is ready to find a family to cuddle with — could that be you?

Snoopy is estimated to be 7 weeks old and 4 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We only adopt out animals to homes within 60 miles of the Twin Cities. Our adoption process begins with the return of our pre-adoption form, available on our website. After reviewing your application a meeting is scheduled between you and the pup, sometimes in the fosters home or at a neutral dog friendly place. If any resident dogs are in your home, it is recommended that the pups meet at this time. After the meeting a home visit is scheduled and if everything goes well with the visit the adoption is finalized at that time. A home visit by one of Safe Hands representatives is REQUIRED prior to finalizing any adoption and we must meet all members of the household where the pup will be living sometime during the adoption process.

Go meet their pets

Come on out and meet all of our great adoptable pups!! On weekends we have meetings at random locations. See our events page on our website or social media.

More about this rescue

Safe Hands is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to saving lives and finding forever homes for stray, abandoned and surrendered dogs in high kill shelters. Of great importance to us is to reduce the stray population and need for healthy animal euthanasia through spay/neuter programs, education, and promotion of respect for the furry creatures that share our lives.

We are a small, no-kill, volunteer run organization. All of our dogs listed are in foster homes waiting to be adopted and because of this, we get to know the dogs' personalities very well and use this information to match them to an appropriate home. We do not have a physical shelter.

This rescue is not funded by public funds nor does it receive many donations so it is dependent on adoption fees to keep operating. We have a great need for foster homes. If you are interested in providing foster care, and live within an hour of the Twin Cities, please e-mail us
Donations ALWAYS needed are: dog crates, puppy pee pads, natures miracle (for pet stain removal), Nutrisource brand puppy and dog food, Lysol disinfecting wipes, paper towels, large clean towels, dog toys, leashes, collars and gas cards to help with our transports.
