My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pamela!

Pamela is a total sweetheart who brings joy everywhere she goes. She loves cuddling up with her people, soaking up belly rubs, and showing off her excellent fetch skills. On walks, she’s well mannered, listens politely when asked to sit, and gets excited in a friendly way when she sees other dogs or new people. She’s quiet, gentle, and seems to really enjoy canine company.

Pamela also rides nicely in the car, she starts out a little cautious but settles in and relaxes once she feels comfortable. Her fun, goofy personality shines more and more as she warms up.

Pamela does have megaesophagus, a condition that means she needs a little extra help when eating. She’s currently thriving on canned food in a slow feeder, and she’s been gaining weight beautifully. With a consistent routine and a bit of patience, her feeding needs are easy to manage and she’s doing great. Her adopter will need to follow her eating protocol to ensure she is getting all her nutritional needs met.

If you’re looking for a loving, joyful pup who will fill your home with snuggles, laughs, and loyalty, Pamela might just be the perfect match for you.

Additional adoption info

We've got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt! The adoption process begins online, and all adoptions are done by appointment only. To reduce the animals' overall stress levels, we have decided to limit animal viewing to those people with appointments for specific animals.

How it works:

1. Check out our available animals online. If you see an animal you’re interested in, fill out that species adoption questionnaire at https://www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet to start the adoption process. Please be sure to include the name of the animal that you are interested in adopting. Questionnaires will only be reviewed if a specific animal is identified. You aren't obligated to adopt that pet, but it's a place to start.

2. Our staff will review your questionnaire and contact you to discuss the adoption. Please note that it often takes several days before you are contacted. We appreciate your patience! (If it has been longer than one week and you haven’t heard from us, please email us.)

3. Most animals will be available to go home the same day as the adoption meeting.

Adoptions by Appointment
Our shelter is currently closed for general animal viewing, but we’ve still got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt them. To help keep our staff, volunteers and community healthy, we are now providing adoptions by appointment. This enables us to comply with social distancing guidelines while still finding loving homes for the pets in our care.
