My story

Their adoption process

Dogs may be adopted for $100, cats for $50. For your fees, your adopted pet will have the following:
Current Rabies vaccination
Canine 5-1 or Feline 3-1 vaccination
Spay or Neuter
Heartworm or FeLV/FIV test
Microchip
De-worming
Flea prevention

We strive to find the best homes for the pets in our shelter, and our process reflects it. It starts with the application. Once it’s reviewed, your current or previous veterinarian will be contacted. We recognize and want our adopters to know that if they find themselves unable to continue caring for their animal that we are their first call. We want to make certain that these animals will be safe and loved throughout their lives.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Please call, e-mail or visit the shelter to make sure the pet you are interested in is still available.
  2. Approve Application
    1. We may need to conduct an interview and/or call your landlord.
  3. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. The full fee is required to complete the adoption.

More about this shelter

We are a small, 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill shelter in North Central Arkansas, staffed entirely by compassionate volunteers and funded by donations.

We seek to bring sanctuary and aid to at-risk dogs and cats, and to find loving homes where they can live out their lives as family members. We recognize the value in the life of each animal we help, and work tirelessly to improve their health and well-being. We are a respected community resource in an under-served area, committed to reducing pet overpopulation through spay and neuter, promoting responsible pet ownership and partnering with other animal welfare organizations to save lives, one pet at a time.
