Our adoptions all take place at the Traverse City PetSmart store.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Go to our website www.tcpaw.org and fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire.
  2. Interview
    1. An adoption coordinator will call to complete a phone interview.
  3. Home Check
    1. Adoption coordinator will call personal and veterinarian references.
  4. Approve Application
  5. Meet the Pet
    1. Pets may be in foster homes or at the Traverse City Pet Smart cattery to meet potential adopters.
  6. Sign Adoption Contract
  7. Pay Fee
    1. Take the pet home!

Our adoption hours at the Traverse City PetSmart are Tuesday 5-7 pm, Saturday and Sunday 1-3 pm.
