Hello, my name is: Jessica Approx. DOB: 10/29/2024 Weight: 8.5 lbs Sex/breed: Spayed female domestic shorthair Rescued from: Hoarding case
Last year, a group of 27 cats found themselves alone in a quiet house, left to fend for themselves after their owner passed away. The home was already in a sad state, as the owner had struggled with their mental health and couldn’t keep up with the cats’ care.
Thanks to the kindness of our rescue community, most of the cats found placement with other organizations or adoptive homes. We are still caring for nine, of which Justin, Brittney, Nick, and Jessica are a part.
These four brave kitties are living among other cats and dogs in their foster home and are learning through them that humans are safe. They no longer bolt when approached and instead stay to listen to a kind word or investigate an offered treat. The girls will even stop you in the hallway to have a little chat! And despite the conditions they came from, they all use the litter boxes and scratching posts faithfully.
Because they find their greatest courage in the company of their own kind, Justin, Brittney, Nick, and Jessica are looking for forever homes that already include at least one friendly resident cat to act as a mentor. While they do not all need to be adopted together, they would be happy to move in pairs or even larger groups if a kind-hearted adopter has the room to spare.
They simply need patient owners who understand that healing takes time and will allow them to adjust at their own pace. With time and safe and gentle pushing, we’re sure these sweet cats will seek out attention and affection from those they trust!
All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Interested in adopting? All 4 Paws is a foster-based rescue located in Malvern, PA. Since all of our dogs live in foster homes (instead of in a shelter environment), we are able to learn a tremendous amount about them and their needs. This helps us make great matches between our adopters and their new best friends! We do our best to keep the adoption process straight-forward and simple in an effort to get our available pets into permanent, stable and loving homes in a timely manner.
Our Adoption Process:
1. You submit an application.
You can submit an application by clicking the appropriate application button at the bottom of this page. If you have already been approved by or adopted from All 4 Paws, select the "Previously Approved" application for a shortened version. Be sure to include what you are looking for in your new pet as it helps us with the matchmaking process!
2. We contact your references.
We will contact your vet (if you have/had a pet), your landlord/property manager (if applicable), along with a few personal references right away. Please let all references know that we will be contacting them. This will help us to speed things along!
3. We send an email notifying you of the status of your application.
Please note: We get a lot of interest in our dogs and there is no guarantee that an approved application will secure your adoption of the dog you expressed interest in.
4. If approved, you work directly with our Adoptions Team to discuss our dogs and to set up an adoption appointment.
We’re happy to adopt to out-of-state families! Please note that, in accordance with our PA Kennel License, all adoptions must be completed in person at our Malvern, PA office. You can also meet a few of our dogs at once at our Meet & Greet Events. Events are a great opportunity to speak with our fosters and volunteers to discuss all of our dogs.
