Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationFill out our adoption application at heartsandbonesrescue.org and our adoption team will be in touch about next steps within a few days.
- Meet the PetThe best way to meet our pups is via private meetings or at adoption events. We host these weekly at various locations around NYC.
- Sign Adoption Contract
- Pay FeeOur adoption fee ranges from $275-$550 and covers the costs of vetting, boarding, transportation, and other necessary items for our dogs.
- Take the Pet Home

We are a foster-only rescue and do not have a physical location. Please email us at adopt@heartsandbonesrescue.org to arrange a private meeting with our dogs or visit us at an adoption event. We host events every weekend at various locations around NYC.

Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based rescue with dual bases in New York City, NY and Dallas, TX. We are dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of shelter dogs through direct lifesaving, shared learning, and community building. Our incredible network of rescue partners, fosters, volunteers, and a small but mighty staff work together to save dogs in the areas where shelters are under the greatest stress, and unite them with loving adopters ready to give them the lives they deserve.
