🌤️🐾 Meet Ethel — A Tiny Survivor Learning the Sweet Side of Life 🐾🌤️
Female • ~3 Years Old • ~10 lbs • Long-haired Chihuahua / Pomeranian Mix (best guess)

This little black-and-brown beauty is about 10 pounds of quiet courage and growing confidence. At around 3 years old, she’s just beginning to discover all the things many dogs have always known — gentle pets, kind voices, belly rubs, soft beds, and the comfort of sleeping deeply with both eyes closed.

She came from a hoarding situation, so the world is still a new place to her. But the amazing thing? She’s already come so far.

Day by day she’s getting braver. She’s starting to wander into the kitchen at feeding time, hang out in the same room with her people in the evenings, and take in all the comforts of a normal home. Watching her realize that life can actually be safe and good has been nothing short of heartwarming.

And when she feels happy?
She celebrates with zoomies. Tiny, joyful, blink-and-you-miss-them zoomies.

She’s also discovered another fun hobby: light theft.
More specifically… toy theft.
Give her access to toys and she may quietly swipe one and carry it off to her safe spot like a tiny bandit who just scored the treasure of the century. Don’t worry — it’s all part of her charm.

This sweet girl is house trained, incredibly gentle, and we’ve yet to even hear her bark. She’s also very food motivated (treats are a wonderful confidence booster) and has shown zero food aggression.

What will help her thrive most is a home that understands she’s still learning. She’ll need:
🐾 A patient, loving family
🐾 A confident, friendly canine sibling to help guide her
🐾 A securely fenced yard where she can feel safe
🐾 A calm quieter home without small children
🐾 Time to continue building trust at her own pace

Having another dog around makes a huge difference for her. She watches them, learns from them, and gains confidence by following their lead.

And the best part? Every single week she grows a little braver. A little more curious. A little more ready to be part of the family.
It’s truly nothing but blue skies ahead for this sweet girl.

She just needs a forever home willing to give her the time and patience she deserves — a home where she can finally settle in for good and never have to wonder what tomorrow will bring again.

The family who gives her that chance will get to witness something incredibly special:
a shy little heart slowly blooming into a loyal, loving companion.
And maybe occasionally wondering where all the toys disappeared to… 🧸
