Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Freyja is a gorgeous Husky with a big personality and an even bigger love for butt scratches! Like many other animals, she can feel a little nervous in new situations and around unfamiliar people. Once she starts to feel safe with patience and gentle voices, Freyja warms up quickly, accepting pets, leaning in for chin scratches, and showing off her affectionate side.
She’s a clever girl who already knows several basic commands, including sit, shake a paw, and down, and she takes her treat rewards incredibly gently. True to her breed, Freyja is also quite the communicator and isn’t shy about sharing her thoughts with classic Husky vocalizations. She’s very smart and curious too - so smart, in fact, that she’s been known to figure out doors and fences!
Freyja would thrive with someone who has done research on or who is already familiar with the Husky breed who can appreciate her intelligence, personality, and grooming needs. She may do best in a home where someone is around a lot of the time to keep her company. Freyja is looking for a calm home with teens 13+ and no other animals, where she can build trust, share her goofy charm, and become the best companion she can be!
If your home sounds like a fit for our sweet Freyja, book an appointment to see her today!
Freyja is: - open to older kids 13+ - no dogs - no cats or small animals

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
