My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Fern and I am available for adoption.

I was brought to RASKC on November 18, 2025. I went into a wonderful foster home for many months for socialization, but now I am ready to find my own forever family.

Being back at RASKC is quite scary so I am not showing my true colors right now. I probably will not approach you, but if you are quiet and offer me chin scritches I will lean into them right away.

My foster says this about me, `Fern is a super sweet shy girl. Shes not fond of being picked up but purrs for hours for pets. She loves to flop on her side when shes excited for pets. She would do best to be started in a small area like a bathroom or small room. She likes to hide at first but with lick treats and pets she warms right up. She loves lick treats and to chase the da bird cat wand. Fern is very curious about other cats but did well with an older male cat that was gentle with her. She looked fwd to his daily visits and playtime and she would do best in a home with another playful kitty companion as she gets lonely by herself. Her foster mom would love to be updated about her`

I am a gentle and loving cat who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might need some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!
