Popeye is a gentle, affectionate dog who has been wonderful with kids. He was calm and patient with our newborn from day one, happily tolerating ear pulls and belly pats—he truly is a family dog.
He’s low-energy and loves the indoor life. Popeye is happiest relaxing next to you, resting at your feet while you work, or cuddling during TV time. He enjoys walks and does best on a leash to stay focused and safe. He’s house-trained, mellow, and just wants to be near his people (and give plenty of kisses).
We are heartbroken to rehome him as our family is moving across the country to a much smaller space. Popeye also has severe car anxiety and does not travel well, making a long multi-day trip very stressful for him.
His ideal home would be one where people are around often—kids or no kids. If you want a loving, calm companion who will adore you and keep you company, Popeye is your guy.
