Aesop is a handsome adult red-eared slider with a shell measuring about 6 inches, and he’s full of personality! This curious turtle is always excited for mealtime—he absolutely loves his food and will happily chase his feeder fish around his tank with impressive enthusiasm.

Aesop is also very observant and interactive for a turtle. He follows his foster around from inside his tank and seems to recognize the person who brings the food, often swimming over to greet them when they approach. It’s clear that he’s paying attention to what’s going on outside his enclosure!

With his active nature and big appetite, Aesop would thrive in a properly sized aquatic setup where he can swim, explore, and enjoy plenty of enrichment. He’s a fun turtle to watch and would make a great addition for someone ready to provide the space and care an adult red-eared slider needs.

Noah's Ark Rescue Project and Sanctuary (NARPS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization which is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need, as well as educating the public on important issues, and implementing low cost vaccination and sterilization clinics. Our goal is to address vital contributing factors which lead to the overpopulation of domesticated pets. Overbreeding and overpopulation directly affects the number of animals who find themselves in shelters and in need of rescuing. NARPS is currently operating mainly as a foster based program, with ambitions to eventually have a facility to house for our rescues. We are not a breed or species specific rescue, At NARPS, big & small, hooves & paws, we rescue them all!
