My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you’re looking for a soulful companion who is equal parts "adventure buddy" and "couch potato," Daisy is ready to clock in. At 5 years old and a sturdy 45 lbs, she’s past the puppy chaos and ready to settle into her forever home.

Standing 21 inches at the shoulder, she’s the perfect size for head-scratches and car rides—two of her absolute favorite things.

Daisy is a gentle, sweet soul who lives for affection. She’s a world-class snuggler and a generous distributor of kisses.

She’s a total "people person," loving both adults and kids. She’s also great with other dogs, making her a solid candidate for a multi-dog household.

Daisy is a nose with four legs attached. Her favorite hobby is exploring the world through her scent, and she’ll happily lead the way on leash walks.

True to her heritage, Daisy will let out a joyful bay when she’s excited or feeling particularly happy. It’s her way of singing for joy!

Daisy is a dream in the house—she’s potty trained and behaves beautifully on car trips. However, she does have two non-negotiables for her new home:

A Secure Yard: Because her nose is so powerful, she will follow a scent trail right out of the neighborhood if given the chance. A secure fence is a must to keep her "walkabouts" limited to supervised adventures.

No Cats: Daisy’s hound instincts are strong, so a feline-free home is required to keep everyone happy and relaxed.

If you are interested in making Daisy a part of your family please submit an application. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

More about this rescue

We are a registered 501(c)(3) non- profit, charitable organization. Our mission is to rescue dogs from overcrowded and high kill shelters, and place them in loving homes. We also strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, and the importance of spay/neuter, so that one day there will no longer be adoptable dogs, euthanized by the thousands in our shelters. We are an all volunteer organization. 100% of donations go directly to the care of the dogs.
