My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pine is an orange and white domestic shorthair male who is approximately 10 years old. Pine is a handsome senior gentleman with a gentle heart and a lot of affection to share!

He may take a brief moment to warm up, but once he knows you are his person he becomes the ultimate lover boy. Pine absolutely adores cuddling in bed with his foster and never seems to tire of affection. You can pet him for as long as your heart desires and he will happily purr the entire time.

During the day, Pine enjoys lounging on a comfy chair while watching the world go by outside the window. His loud, reassuring purr lets you know you’ve found all the right spots, and he will gladly roll over for belly scratches. If you call his name or make a little noise for him, he will come running for attention. Pine also has the sweetest little chirping meow and can be quite the talkative companion.

He’s a gentle, affectionate soul who would love nothing more than a cozy home and someone to share all his cuddles with. Pine has previously lived with other cats and may do well with another cat or dog companion with a proper and slow introduction.

Pine is a urinary cat and thrives on a special veterinarian-prescribed diet to maintain his health.
For his continued wellbeing, Pine will require lifelong feeding of Royal Canin Urinary SO Aging + Calm diet (kibble and canned food), a veterinarian-prescribed diet designed to prevent urinary issues.

If you are interested in adopting Pine, we kindly ask that you consult with your veterinarian** for quotes on the ongoing cost of his prescription food, to ensure it’s a sustainable commitment for your household.

Pine is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies. He is FIV and FeLV negative and up to date on parasite prevention. Pine must remain on a Royal Canin Urinary SO Aging + Calm diet to support his ongoing health. His adoption fee is $300.

If you think Pine could be the perfect addition to your home, please submit an adoption application.

Additional adoption info

Most of our cats live in foster homes. Some are available to meet at satellite locations such as Pet Valu and Ren's Depot. A few foster homes are available to meet and greets at their home, or we also do meet and greets at request at our shelter prior to adoption. Most of these results in same day adoptions, and only take place after an adoption interview.
