She can be a little unsure about new people and unfamiliar places, so her future family should be ready to move slowly and let her warm up in her own time. With gentle introductions, patience, and lots of encouragement, Barbirusa's fun personality can really shine. Because she can be fearful and reactive when overwhelmed, she's looking for a home with kids over 10, and parents should supervise interactions to help everyone stay safe and happy.

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized.
