Albert is most likely a Cockapoo. He has a lovely, soft, wavy coat with little to no shedding. This does mean he will require regular grooming to prevent matting. He is a super happy and playful dog who gets along with everyone and plays well with other dogs. He is pretty much house trained with frequent trips outside and puppy pads at night.
Poor Albert came to us with an old bilateral fracture of his jaw which had healed crookedly on his right side and not healed properly on his left. He was found as a stray in Eagle Pass, TX and appeared to have had an accident with a vehicle. Recently, he had jaw surgery that placed a titanium plate on the left side to hold the two pieces of his jaw together so it could heal. He also had three teeth removed and his teeth cleaned. Unfortunately, the jaw was unable to be perfectly constructed but he still has a happy and charming smile. There are no problems with him using it and he carries stuffed toys and eats just fine. The picture of Albert in front of the Xmas tree, was when we rescued him last year. It shows how fractured his jaw was prior to his surgery.
