My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi. My name is Chapo.

I’m about two years old.
White Swiss Shepherd.
And yes, I’ve been told I’m pretty gorgeous.
I'm currently in California. My bags are packed, I’m ready to travel to my new home. Where are you? Are you my new family? I’ll travel to you!

Most people notice my snowy white coat first. Then my bright eyes. Then the fact that I’m already trying to say hello before they even finish introducing themselves.

I’m a friendly guy. A social guy. The kind of dog who enjoys being around people and being part of whatever is going on. If you’re moving around the house, I’m happy to follow along and supervise. If you’re sitting down, I’m happy to accept attention. I’m flexible like that.

I also have a playful side. Life is more fun when there’s something to do. Walks, games, exploring the yard, learning new things. My brain likes activity and my heart likes being close to my humans.

White Swiss Shepherds are known for that. We’re intelligent, loyal, and very connected to our people. We’re happiest when we’re part of the family and included in everyday life.

I’m curious too. If a gate opens, I’ll definitely want to see what’s on the other side. Not because I want to run away, but because I like being where the action is. Sitting on the sidelines is not really my style.

What I’m looking for is a home where I can do what dogs like me do best. Be loyal. Be playful. Be someone’s companion through daily life.

I’m handsome. I’m friendly. I’m ready to be your dog.
