My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Pea lives by her name and really is just a little sweet pea. She is highly infatuated with her boyfriend Blackjack, and she is on the market for a new home they can share! With them both being brand new to the shelter, we are still learning their personalities, and will be able to update more as we get to know them better.

Nothing has been cuter than watching these two cuddle up, Sweet Pea is absolutely infatuated with Blackjack and likes to be by his side at all times. These buns are a much needed reminder that true love still exists, and they would be a great addition to any adopter looking to third wheel a cute couple! Adopting a bonded rabbit pair is very rewarding, getting to be included in their special relationship. Owning a pair of rabbits is easier than owning just one, as they can keep each other company and they are not as needy or reliant on their humans for constant attention.

Blackjack is already neutered, and Sweet Pea is awaiting her spay appointment (date tbd), and she wont be able to go home until after that, but applications can still be put in to hold your place in line!

Rabbits make wonderful companions, but they do require specialized care to thrive. Before adopting, please take the time to research their unique needs to ensure you're fully prepared to provide a happy, healthy home. Rabbits are not recommended for families with children under 10 years old due to their fragile nature and specialized care. You can learn more here:

If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application in person or online:

Once you have a general approval you can set up an appointment to have a 1-on-1 meet. Rabbits can also be seen in their play pens during open viewing hours Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1-5.
