Five-month-old Nutmeg came to us with her feral mom and three siblings, and since then she’s been enrolled in our very important Kitten Bootcamp — where she’s been learning all the basics of indoor life: toys are fun, treats are amazing, and people… well… people might actually be pretty great.
Nutmeg has made lovely progress and can now be petted and held, but she’s still a shy girl who is learning the ropes of being a confident house cat. Because of this, she’ll need patient adopters who understand that her social skills are still developing and are willing to keep working with her so she can continue building trust.
When Nutmeg first moves into her new home, she’ll need to spend some time in a large crate setup so her adopters can easily interact with her and continue the gentle handling that’s helping her gain confidence. With consistency, patience, and positive interactions, kittens like Nutmeg often blossom beautifully.
One thing Nutmeg already knows for sure? Playtime is the best time. Toys are the quickest way to win her heart, and interactive play will be a fantastic way for her new family to bond with her while helping her confidence grow.
Nutmeg will also need a confident kitty friend in her new home — another friendly cat she can watch and learn from. Having a feline role model makes a huge difference for kittens like her.
This adorable little spice is full of potential and just needs the right environment to shine. Nutmeg will do best in a calm, quiet home with patient people who believe in the magic of helping a shy kitten blossom.
With time, love, and a good kitty mentor, Nutmeg is going to grow into an amazing companion. 🐾✨

Additional adoption info
Our adoption process is detailed and takes time because we strive to match each adopter with the perfect cat while ensuring our cats find the best possible homes.

Why Was a Cat’s Bio Removed?
From time to time, you may notice that a cat’s bio has been removed from our website. There are several possible reasons for this, and we want to provide some clarity.
Most often, a bio is removed because the cat has been adopted — which is always wonderful news!
In other cases, a bio may be temporarily taken down because the cat is receiving medical care or treatment, and we want to focus on their recovery before accepting new applications.
Sometimes, we remove a bio because we’ve received an overwhelming number of applications and need time to carefully review them. We work hard to thoughtfully match each cat with the best possible home, and that process takes time.
Lastly, a bio may be removed if the cat has an upcoming meet-and-greet, and we are waiting to see how that visit goes before moving forward.
If a cat’s bio is no longer posted, it simply means they are not currently available for new applications. We always update our website as soon as a cat becomes available again.
Thank you for your understanding and for supporting our rescue efforts! 🐾
