My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jorah is an Australian Shepherd, roughly 40 pounds. Jorah is a very sweet boy with A LOT of anxiety. I got Jorah when he was a puppy and have done extensive training with him to help with his anxiety since he can be very reactive. He requires very slow and intentional introductions to new people and can be reactive towards other dogs. Jorah does well with routine, structure, and does great with training.

Unfortunately, I am no longer able to care for Jorah in the way he needs and truly deserves. I was attacked by a friend's dog in 2024 and it was an incredibly traumatic experience for me, so much that it has impacted my ability to feel comfortable with Jorah. Since 2024, I have since separated from my husband and I am now the only adult in my home to care for Jorah. I am also a single mother to a four year old, so I am extremely limited in my current capacity.

I would love for Jorah to have a home where someone has the patience and love to give him exercise and consistency.
