Meet Francesca: Your New Best Friend!

Francesca arrived as a stray, which means her past is a bit of a mystery but her future is looking bright! While we don`t know where she started her journey, it’s clear she spent her time perfecting the art of the head-scratch lean.

Francesca is the definition of outgoing. Instead of hiding, she’s the first one to the door to greet you with a soft chirp. She lives for affection and literally melts into your hand the moment you start petting her. If you’re looking for a cat who will be your shadow and your constant companion, Francesca is your girl.

Because Francesca’s history is a bit of a mystery; we are unsure how she does with dogs, cats, or kids. Our adoption counselors are happy to discuss slow introductions, ensuring she feels safe and confident as she settles into her new kingdom.

1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

If you are interested in adopting and meeting one of our adoptable animals one-on-one, we will have you fill out our adoption questionnaire.

2.
Meet the Pet

After completing the adoption questionnaire, you will be paired with one of our Adoption Counselors to help you find the right match.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a match is made, we will finalize the adoption paperwork and have you sign an adoption contract.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Once the contract is signed you may take your new pet home, typically same day!

The Fox Valley Humane Association believes in caring for pets and their people. We have an open adoption process, and our goal is to get to know potential adopters on a personal level and best match them with a new companion. We encourage you to stop by during our open hours to meet our adoptable animals.

The Fox Valley Humane Association is open to the public during the following hours. You do not need an appointment to view our adoptable animals, we welcome visitors anytime during our viewing hours. In order to best serve you, please plan on arriving at least 30 minutes prior to closing to meet with an Adoption Counselor and ensure adequate time to visit with our adoptable animals.
