DuPage County Animal Services is a self-supporting county department designed to:
Prevent and control rabies through bite investigation and rabies registration.
Enforce state and county animal control and welfare laws.
Protecting animals from improper use, abuse, neglect, inhumane treatment and health hazards.
Operate a shelter for stray and owner-relinquished non-native animals.
Promote responsible pet-ownership and animal welfare through counseling and law enforcement.
Rescue animals that are lost, diseased, injured, or in peril.
Provide public education programs for adults and children.
Preventing the birth of unwanted animals.
Reuniting lost pets and their families.
Adopting animals into loving, responsible homes.
Protecting the residents of DuPage County from hazards or nuisances caused by animals.
