Their adoption process

We've got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt! The adoption process begins online, and all adoptions are done by appointment only. To reduce the animals' overall stress levels, we have decided to limit animal viewing to those people with appointments for specific animals. How it works: 1. Check out our available animals online. If you see an animal you’re interested in, fill out that species adoption questionnaire at https://www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet to start the adoption process. Please be sure to include the name of the animal that you are interested in adopting. Questionnaires will only be reviewed if a specific animal is identified. You aren't obligated to adopt that pet, but it's a place to start. 2. Our staff will review your questionnaire and contact you to discuss the adoption. Please note that it often takes several days before you are contacted. We appreciate your patience! (If it has been longer than one week and you haven’t heard from us, please email us.) 3. Most animals will be available to go home the same day as the adoption meeting. ADOPTION FEES - CATS - Cats (over 6 months): $50 - $100 - Kittens (6 months and under): $150 - $300 - Two kittens adopted at the same time: $250 - $300 ADOPTION FEES - DOGS - Dogs (over 6 months): $150 - $375 - Puppies (6 months and under): $375 - $600 Adoption Fees for cats and dogs include: Spaying / neutering Microchip First set of vaccines Deworming Flea treatment Martingale collar and slip lead for dogs Collar and cardboard carrier for cats SMALL ANIMALS & BIRDS - Adoption fees vary based on species
