Started in July 2020, Hound Education & Rescue Operations aka HERO Hound Rescue is a Tennessee non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving hound lives in Tennessee and other Southern States where hounds often find themselves in high-kill shelters and other critical care situations.
HERO Hound Rescue will have 2 primary areas of focus. First priority will be to rescue hound breeds by providing them with essential and emergency veterinary care to save lives and get them into loving and caring forever homes. The second focus will be educating the public on why hounds make such wonderful family members by providing resources on how to effectively make a hound part of a family through proper veterinary care, training and exercise.
